About Maverick...
Dan Nash, a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University, has over 20 years of anesthesia experience. During his first few years in anesthesia, he was a member of a small CRNA group in Texas learning and developing skills for regional block techniques. He spent the next 17 years in a large ACT group, where he continued to grow and perfect his regional block skills. He has been a “full service” anesthesia provider, but has always gravitated toward orthopedics and regional anesthesia.
Dan’s initial experience was with placing blocks using peripheral nerve stimulation techniques, and he has placed thousands of blocks with a high degree of safety and success. In the last 5 years, he has begun to master the use of ultrasound imaging to deepen his knowledge base, and he now performs a majority of his blocks in this manner.
Dan and his business partner, David, were instrumental in helping develop a comprehensive postoperative pain management program, which further fueled his passion for regional anesthesia and teaching. In 2012, Dan received his DNAP degree from Texas Wesleyan with a focus on education to pave the way for future educational career opportunities. He plans to continue teaching throughout his career. He also moved to a new position in an orthopedic only hospital, and is again involved in the development of a comprehensive regional block pain control service.
Dan and his wife Cathy have 2 grown children. They enjoy traveling, music, and spending time with family.

David Gaskin has 20 years experience in the anesthesia field. He has held positions in metropolitan and rural areas, practicing in both care team approach and independent atmospheres.
David developed a passion for regional anesthesia as a key provider, along with partner Dan Nash, in the development of a pain management program. As a provider on the development level, David learned multiple techniques using nerve stimulation and later, ultrasound placement of peripheral nerve blocks.
A huge proponent for regional education, David and Dan served as co-clinical coordinators for Texas Wesleyan University's anesthesia program and continue to work with Texas Christian University students teaching regional anesthesia techniques.
As part of this giving back to a profession that has been so good to him, David works with state anesthesia associations to continue education to practicing CRNAs in regional anesthesia.
David is a graduate of Texas Christian University and Texas Wesleyan University and is currently an officer in the United States Army Reserve where he considers it an honor to treat injured soldiers. He has 3 grown children and he and his wife, Dena, enjoy traveling and outdoor activities.
